Girl Power on Display 2025

Loess Hills Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) is eager to share our program “Girl Power on Display” which honors middle school girls. AAUW is a nonpartisan national organization that works to enhance and encourage women and girls to reach their potential.

We are asking each middle school in Pottawattamie County and also Woodbine School in Harrison County to nominate one sixth, seventh, or eighth grade girl who has displayed perseverance by overcoming challenges in her personal, academic or extra curricular life.

Please provide a staff member’s name who will be our contact. We will need your school’s nominee by February 28, 2025.

On the night of recognition each girl will be honored with a certificate, a financial award, and a goodie bag. AAUW Loess Hills will invite the girl’s family/friends and the school contact. To compliment the evening, a special keynote speaker will share her story of perseverance. Additionally, refreshments will be available.

Information may be found at loess-aauw.org.
